Ageism Is Never In Style is a movement started by the-Bias-Cut.com's founder Jacynth, and it is proudly support by the boutique here every day. Jacynth believes that no woman is invisible. And that true style doesn’t fade. Yet frustratingly the Fashion Industry and the media continues to marginalise 40+ women and treat them as irrelevant.

Over the past few years we've slowly seen a shift, with women crying out for this ageism to end. And there have been some improvements. But they aren't good enough.

From tokenism in campaigns, to patronising and offensive language, to frumpy and dreary styles, the Fashion Industry refuses to fully acknowledge the damaging and insulting message it perpetuates.

So it's time to come together and take a stance. Once and for all.

Through Ageism Is Never In Style, we hope to move the Fashion Industry into the 21st Century, and prove that age is just a number. We want to break down the walls of prejudice and bias, and encourage labels, brands, the media and society more generally to embrace diversity and celebrate women of all ages, skin tones, shapes and sizes.

Over on the blog under “Discussions On Style”, Jacynth regularly posts articles reflecting the Ageism Is Never In Style mission. You can visit them here.

But ultimately this is about a collective movement – not just one voice being heard but many. If we want to see change, we need to move forward together.

So that’s why we've launched “Your Blog” - the opportunity for you to write articles, have them published and publicised by us (so you don’t have to deal with all that faff) and let others in the community hear your views. If you would like to become a featured blogger (there's no minimum number of posts you have to write), you can find out more here

And, as you'll know, Jacynth has also created an online forum over on facebook to bring together bloggers, influencers, and fellow style-lovers from across the globe so that they can connect, find each other and explore their style journeys together.

On the official facebook page the Ageism Is Never In Style team shares their favourite articles and posts, which you can find here.

But she’s also created an official facebook group for you to quickly and easily share tips, photos, discussions, vote in polls & more (because if you try to post them on an facebook page, they get sidelined so no one else will see it - and that's not good enough when every voice is just as important).

You can request to join the group here (all are welcome!). And once you’ve become a member you can add anyone else to your heart’s content!

We hope you enjoy being part of this movement, and look forward to embarking on this journey and making a difference together.
